Donor mailing lists: opt-in charitable and political donation lists

Records from consumers who have given to causes and opted in to hear from aligned organisations — segmented by cause category, giving band, recency and geography.

Overview

What you get with donor mailing lists

Fundraising economics are unforgiving, so donor mailing lists have to be judged on recency and affinity rather than size. A donor who gave to an animal welfare appeal eight weeks ago is a fundamentally different prospect from one whose only recorded gift is four years old, even though a compiled donation list will happily sell you both at the same price. Our donor file is organised around that distinction: gift recency bands, gift-size bands, and the cause categories each person actually engaged with — animal welfare, veterans and military family support, children's charities, medical research and disease-specific appeals, faith-based organisations, disaster relief, environmental causes, and political or advocacy giving.

Every record originates from an opt-in interaction: a donation form, a petition or advocacy sign-up, a sweepstakes or survey where the consumer indicated charitable interests, or a mail-in response card. Consumers agreed to receive information from partner organisations, and the consent language they saw ships with the file. That matters for donor acquisition in particular, because complaint rates and list-hygiene disputes do more damage to a nonprofit's sender reputation and public standing than a slightly smaller mailing ever will. We also support suppression against your existing donor and do-not-solicit files before delivery so you are not paying to reacquire people you already have.

For political and advocacy programs we keep the segmentation practical: stated issue interests, prior advocacy participation, giving band and geography down to ZIP or district-approximating ZIP groupings. We do not represent this file as a voter registration file or as verified FEC contribution data — those are different products with different legal handling, and conflating them is how buyers end up with compliance problems. If your program needs registered-voter data specifically, we will say so rather than sell you a donor file with a different label on it.

FAQ

Donor mailing lists questions buyers ask

Can I select donor mailing lists by cause?

Yes. Cause categories include animal welfare, veterans, children's charities, medical research, faith-based, disaster relief, environmental and political or advocacy giving, and can be combined with gift band and recency.

Is this a voter file or verified contribution data?

No. This is an opt-in donor and advocacy interest file. Registered-voter data and verified FEC contribution records are separate products with different handling requirements, and we will tell you if that is what your program actually needs.

Can you suppress our existing donors?

Yes. Send your suppression and do-not-solicit files and we deduplicate before delivery so you are not paying to reach people already on your house file.
